Hi! I’m Hannah
I’m a writer and editor. I live in Brooklyn and Maine. Here are what the two parts of my brain look like:

I’m the author of Maine Characters (out May 13!), which is like a grown-up version of The Parent Trap, only with affairs and great wine.
I’ve also written:
Meant to Be Mine. What if you knew the exact day you’d meet the love of your life?
Head Over Heels. After failing to make the Olympics, a former gymnast returns to her hometown to coach an aspiring athlete.
Love at First Like. A jewelry shop owner accidentally leads her Instagram followers to believe that she’s engaged — and then decides to keep up the ruse.
Playing with Matches. My debut novel inspired by my brief, disastrous stint as a matchmaker.
And I’m an editor at Bustle, where I write and edit pieces about dating apps, travel, therapy, and Ben Affleck drinking Dunkin’ iced coffee.
What’s Shorthand?
I write novels longhand. I like college-ruled notebooks, gel pens, and not staring at a laptop for 487 hours a day.
Shorthand is my newsletter for quick, typed musings on book updates, my writing process, things I love, and more.
